Briefly Refuting Two Misconceptions Against Atheism

I. Atheists are militant and aggressive.

Some, but not all. Whilst there are personalities that will use any opportunity to debate the believer, and will even use unfriendly approaches such as bullying or constant questioning, those who adhere to the atheistic stance are not fundamentally on the attack against disbelievers. It is not an atheistic virtue.

Atheism is not a doctrine or dogma. Atheism does not hold commandments, or a set a principles to adhere to, or a single book that which they must follow rigorously. Atheism is simply a response to the bold claim of the theist and that is their idea of a deity. The burden of proof lays upon the theist.
